State Board of Community Colleges and State Board of Education must collaborate to develop community college courses that grant one high school credit each and fulfill graduation requirements in English, science, social studies, and mathematics for Career and College Promise students.

Joint report due to the Joint Legislative Education Oversight Committee by January 15, 2028, listing aligned courses and a plan for ongoing alignment.

Beginning 2025-2026, specific community college courses immediately count toward high school graduation requirements: chemistry and physics courses for physical science; ENG 111, 231, or 241 for English III; ENG 112, 232, or 242 for English IV; HIS 111 or 112 for World History; and eight math courses (including statistics, precalculus, and calculus) for the fourth math requirement.

Math III is removed as a mandatory graduation requirement starting 2025-2026; students must instead complete math courses aligned with their individual career development plan.

Public school units must continue offering Math III and all existing math courses while encouraging students to take additional mathematics beyond required courses.
