Repeals the exemption in G.S. 14-196.3(b)(5)k. that allowed private detectives and investigators to install and use electronic tracking devices without a search warrant

Requires wildlife protectors to obtain a search warrant or judicial order before conducting searches within the curtilage of a dwelling or living quarters of a vessel

Mandates that wildlife protectors obtain an administrative search warrant under Article 4A of Chapter 15 when inspecting licensed or commercial premises, removing their previous discretion to conduct warrantless inspections

Preserves protectors' authority to enter and inspect premises of licensed wildlife dealers during business hours to verify compliance with wildlife laws and recordkeeping requirements

Effective December 1, 2025, applying to offenses committed on or after that date
