Public school units must permit youth groups designated as patriotic societies under Title 36 of the U.S. Code (such as Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts) to give presentations to students during the instructional day

Presentations are limited to 10 minutes and must cover the group's purpose, membership information, and civic education; presentation time does not count toward instructional hour requirements

Charter schools, regional schools, and schools for the deaf and blind must develop policies ensuring patriotic youth groups have school access under the same provisions

Schools are not required to provide equal access to organizations not designated as patriotic organizations under federal law

Effective upon becoming law, applying beginning with the 2025-2026 school year
