Appropriates $125,000 in recurring funds annually from the General Fund for the 2025-2027 fiscal biennium to the Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, and Substance Use Services

Funds allocated as a grant to North Carolina Association of People Supporting Employment First (NC APSE) to develop training programs, including online modules, on evidence-based supported employment services

Training aims to help individuals with serious mental illness, intellectual disabilities, or developmental disabilities prepare for, find, and maintain integrated, paid, competitive employment

Training programs must be made available statewide to employers willing to hire targeted populations, service providers of local management entities/managed care organizations, and other beneficial entities

Effective date: July 1, 2025
