Health care providers licensed by North Carolina who deliver services exclusively through telemedicine will no longer need to maintain a physical presence in the state to enroll as Medicaid providers

Medical provider groups with state-licensed practitioners offering only telemedicine services will not need an in-state service address to enroll as a Medicaid provider group

The NC Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Health Benefits, is directed to implement these changes

Effective immediately upon becoming law
