Expands remote enrollment eligibility to include children of service members separating from active military duty within 12 months, in addition to those transferring to NC military installations

Allows military families in temporary housing up to one year from the reporting-for-duty date or separation date to provide proof of residency while the child attends school

Permits high school juniors and seniors from military families to remain enrolled through graduation without needing to establish permanent residency

Requires schools to provide military children the same opportunities as resident students, including school assignment requests, course registration, and program applications

Effective upon becoming law, applying beginning with the 2025-2026 school year
