All North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission appointments changed to two-year terms, replacing the previous system of staggered two-, four-, and six-year terms

Commission members limited to three consecutive terms maximum

Governor appoints 10 members (one from each of nine wildlife districts plus one at-large member); Commissioner of Agriculture appoints one member; General Assembly appoints 10 members (five each upon recommendation of the Speaker of the House and President Pro Tempore of the Senate)

Current members whose terms expire in 2027 or 2029 may serve out the remainder of their existing appointments
