Appropriates $2,500,000 in recurring funds from the General Fund to the NC Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Public Health, for each year of the 2025-2027 fiscal biennium

Grants awarded on a competitive basis to nonprofit community health centers for purchasing and distributing long-acting reversible contraceptives (LARCs)

Eligible patients include underserved, uninsured, or medically indigent individuals

LARCs must be FDA-approved, prescription-based contraceptives that provide extended protection without user action and can be discontinued by the user

Effective date: July 1, 2025
