Appropriates $100,000 in nonrecurring funds from the General Fund to the Office of State Budget and Management for a directed grant to Sidekicks Academy, Inc. for fiscal year 2025-2026

Sidekicks Academy serves marginalized students in Durham Public Schools through martial arts (Taekwondo), character development, and community support programs

$90,000 allocated for students' training attire, safety equipment, an intra-school Taekwondo tournament, digital advertising upkeep, and staff salary

$10,000 allocated for experiential education including field trips to local Taekwondo tournaments, museum visits, and educational/sporting events at local college campuses
