Precinct officials may be removed from office on election day for incompetency or failure to discharge duties, and county boards may prohibit removed officials from serving in any subsequent election

Persons previously prohibited from serving due to removal are added to the list of those ineligible to be precinct officials, alongside current officeholders, candidates, and party officers

Each county must maintain a minimum of six emergency election-day assistants who can be assigned when precinct officials are removed or otherwise unable to serve throughout election day

Mandatory training for all precinct officials must cover seven specific topics: duties of office, voter registration verification, ballot issuance, voter assistance including curbside voting, poll opening/closing procedures, buffer zone rules, and potential removal consequences

Effective upon becoming law and applies to elections conducted on or after that date
