Public school units must post all lesson plans online within 10 days of instruction, organized by subject area and grade level, including names of instructional materials, course materials by title and author, and links to publicly available resources

Schools must publish procedures for lesson plan review/approval, processes for requesting in-person review of materials not available online, and lists of teacher/staff training materials and activities used during the current school year

"Course materials" broadly defined to include textbooks, videos, digital materials, websites, online applications, and teacher-created content; "action-oriented civics learning assignments" specifically defined as projects requiring students to contact officials or participate in political/social demonstrations

Posted materials must remain publicly accessible for two calendar years; schools with fewer than 30 students total are exempt from requirements

Requirements apply to NC School of the Arts and the NC School of Science and Mathematics in addition to traditional public schools, effective for the 2025-2026 school year
