Exempts Wilson County Schools from state-mandated school calendar restrictions that require opening no earlier than the Monday closest to August 26 and closing no later than the Friday closest to June 11

Removes the requirement for Wilson County to demonstrate "good cause" (8 days of closures per year in 4 of the last 10 years) to obtain a State Board waiver for earlier start dates

Allows the Wilson County Schools board of education full local control over setting opening and closing dates for the school year

Applies exclusively to Wilson County Schools and takes effect beginning with the 2025-2026 school year
