Eliminates the independence of the Office of State Fire Marshal (OSFM) and returns oversight authority to the Commissioner of the Department of Insurance by repealing sections of S.L. 2023-134, S.L. 2023-151, and S.L. 2021-1

All OSFM employees as of October 1, 2025 may continue in their positions at their option or until the Commissioner takes further action; all positions remain unless changed by the General Assembly

Rules previously adopted by the State Fire Marshal under Chapters 58 or 143 of the General Statutes remain in effect until amended by the Commissioner

Board and commission members appointed by the State Fire Marshal may serve until their terms expire, after which the Commissioner will appoint successors
