Local boards of education must adopt minimum salary schedules for occupational therapists and physical therapists that incorporate all State Board salary grades, with experience-based intervals evenly divided, no more than 5 years apart, and capped at 30 years of experience

For FY 2025-2026, full-time public school occupational and physical therapists would receive monthly salary supplements of 10% of a teacher's "A" schedule salary (based on 5 years more experience than the therapist) plus $350

Therapists become eligible for salary supplements equivalent to teachers for six-year or doctoral degree academic preparation

Local boards must report their adopted therapist salary schedules to the Department of Public Instruction by October 15 annually, with DPI reporting to the Joint Legislative Education Oversight Committee by December 15

A new annual workforce report is required by February 15 from each local board detailing the number of employed therapists, contracted therapists, and vacant positions, with DPI compiling results for the legislature by April 15
