Directs the Department of Health and Human Services to study ways to improve hospice care facility responsiveness to complaints from patients and their families

Requires DHHS to analyze complaint data from hospice facilities, patients, and families, and engage stakeholders including hospice administrators and the Association for Home and Hospice Care of North Carolina

Report due to the Joint Legislative Oversight Committee on Health and Human Services and Fiscal Research Division by April 1, 2026

Report must include summary of most common complaints and recommendations on best practices for accessible complaint procedures, timely investigations, effective communication, and empowering families as care team members
