Establishes procedures for the NC Senate to elect six members to the UNC Board of Governors for four-year terms in 2025

Nomination period runs February 24-28, 2025, with only written nominations on official forms accepted by 5:00 PM on the deadline; fax and email submissions are prohibited

Nominees must file a Statement of Economic Interest by February 28, 2025, and cannot be individuals already nominated by the House of Representatives during the 2025 Session

Senate Select Committee on Nominations screens candidates for qualifications and limits the final slate to no more than twice the number of open seats (maximum 12 nominees for 6 positions)

Senate election must occur by March 24, 2025, requiring majority vote for selection, with runoff procedures if fewer than six candidates receive majority support
