Division of Juvenile Justice must develop a coding and computer skills program for juveniles committed to youth development centers to prepare them for employment and reduce recidivism

Program must include specialized coding courses, opportunities to earn industry-recognized certifications, and connections with mentors, internships, and job placement assistance

Implementation deadline is January 1, 2026, with a progress report due to the Joint Legislative Oversight Committee on Justice and Public Safety by October 1, 2025

Appropriates $250,000 in recurring funds from the General Fund for the 2025-2026 fiscal year to develop and implement the program
