Directs the Department of Environmental Quality to study nutrient management strategies and compile existing water quality data for Jordan Lake

Requires review of water sampling data from the Department, stakeholders, and a University of North Carolina study conducted under S.L. 2016-94

Mandates evaluation of whether current Jordan Lake Water Supply Nutrient Strategies are improving water quality, including analysis of natural background nitrogen and phosphorus levels

Requires assessment of additional actions or funding needed to develop realistic, cost-effective site-specific water quality criteria for Jordan Lake

Final report due to the Environmental Review Commission and Environmental Management Commission by January 31, 2027, with interim reports due January 31, 2026 and July 31, 2026
