Authorizes counties to establish Case Review Multidisciplinary Teams to review active adult protective services cases involving disabled adults (18+) and older adults (65+) who are victims of abuse, neglect, or exploitation

Teams must include 11 mandatory members: director of social services, law enforcement officer, district attorney representative, public guardian, mental health professional, long-term care ombudsman, public health representative, healthcare provider, area agency on aging representative, and domestic violence/sexual assault victim advocate

Teams must meet at least quarterly and may share confidential case information among members to coordinate services, though meetings are exempt from open meetings laws

NC Department of Health and Human Services must develop training materials on adult protective services law, team functions, confidentiality requirements, and record-keeping

Effective October 1, 2025; ratified June 19, 2025 and signed by Governor Stein on June 26, 2025
