Recorded images from automated school bus safety cameras showing a stopped bus with its mechanical stop signal or flashing red lights displayed shall be prima facie evidence that the bus was stopped to receive or discharge passengers and was properly equipped and marked

Maximum contract length for local boards of education to contract with private vendors for automated school bus safety camera services increases from 3 years to 5 years

Contract renewal or extension options also increase from a maximum of 3 years to 5 years for one additional term

Evidence provisions become effective December 1, 2025, and apply to offenses committed on or after that date

Contract length provisions become effective July 1, 2025, and apply to contracts issued, renewed, or amended on or after that date
