Requires the NC Marriage and Family Therapy Licensure Board to issue reciprocal licenses to out-of-state therapists, changing from discretionary ("may") to mandatory ("shall")

Reduces the continuous licensure requirement for reciprocity applicants from five years to two years

Adds a jurisprudence examination requirement testing applicants' knowledge of North Carolina law and rules

Expands acceptable examination credentials to include California's clinical examination as an alternative to the National Marriage and Family Therapy examination

Applies criminal history record check requirements to applicants seeking licensure through reciprocity, effective October 1, 2025
