Repeals Section 6 of Article XIV of the North Carolina Constitution, which currently defines marriage between one man and one woman as the only valid or recognized domestic legal union in the state

Places the constitutional amendment on the ballot for the November 2026 general election for voter approval

Requires a simple majority of votes cast in favor for the amendment to pass

Amendment would take effect January 1, 2027, if approved by voters, with the Secretary of State enrolling it among permanent records
