Requires the Office of Vital Records and local register of deeds offices to process birth and death certificate amendment requests within 30 calendar days of receiving completed applications, required proof, and fees

Prohibits Office of Vital Records employees from teleworking if it would adversely impact the 30-day processing timeline

Allows telework exception only during declared disasters or emergencies under Chapter 166A, as determined necessary by the Secretary of Health and Human Services

Applies to all permanent and temporary employees of the Office of Vital Records

Effective immediately upon becoming law, applying to amendment requests made on or after the effective date
