Exempts UL-certified sign manufacturers from North Carolina general contractor licensing requirements for constructing, furnishing, or erecting signs, awnings, or related architectural features

Requires applicants claiming this exemption to provide documentation of current UL certification and execute a verified affidavit when applying for building permits on projects of $40,000 or more

Building inspectors must transmit the affidavit and UL certification documentation to the Board for verification of eligibility for the exemption

Building permits shall be revoked if the Board determines the applicant was not validly entitled to claim the sign manufacturer exemption
