Allocates $11 million annually from sports betting tax proceeds to the Department of Public Instruction for salary supplements for public school athletic coaches

Ensures each eligible athletic coach receives a total annual salary supplement of at least $3,000 from combined State and non-State funds

Eligible coaches must be full-time public school employees who currently receive a coaching supplement of $3,000 or less from non-State funds

Prohibits public school units from reducing their existing non-State coaching supplement funding; units that supplant State funds lose eligibility the following year

Unexpended funds at fiscal year end go to the North Carolina Alliance of YMCAs to support youth sports programming

Effective July 1, 2025, beginning with the 2025-2026 school year
