Charter schools are exempted from reporting class rank on student transcripts and may develop alternative teacher evaluation systems meeting similar standards to state requirements

Low-performing charter schools must report improvement plans to the Review Board only, removing requirements under G.S. 115C-105.27 that apply to traditional public schools

Remote charter academies with 250+ students may request expedited approval for separate charters without a planning year, and will receive separate school performance grades from in-person instruction portions
