Requires written agreements before rendering any compensated veterans' benefits services, with fees capped at five times the one-month increase in benefits and contingent on successful outcomes, with no initial fees allowed

Mandates disclosure in at least 12-point font that the business is not affiliated with the VA or Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, and that free services may be available through other organizations

Violations constitute unfair trade practices under G.S. 75-1.1; licensed North Carolina attorneys are exempt from these requirements; effective October 1, 2025
