Increases the monthly pension benefit for eligible firefighters and rescue squad workers from $175 to $180, effective January 1, 2026, for members who have served 20 years and reached age 55

Consolidates membership payment requirements into a new statute (G.S. 58-86-41), standardizing the $15 monthly contribution for up to 20 years and clarifying payment deadlines and service credit rules

Extends pension eligibility provisions to members who become totally and permanently disabled (either in line of duty or otherwise with 10+ years of service) and to beneficiaries of members killed in the line of duty

Adds one representative from the North Carolina State Firefighters' Association to the 25-member North Carolina Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council, reducing general public/other appointments from six to five

Makes technical and clarifying changes throughout the Firefighters' and Rescue Squad Workers' Pension Fund statutes, including standardizing terminology and updating cross-references
