Increases the percentage used to calculate permanent impairment awards from 33⅓% to 35% of the average weekly wage in North Dakota.

Allows injured employees with permanent impairment awards of at least $2,000 to defer payment until they reach age 65, with accrued interest at the organization's actuarial discount rate.

Updates impairment evaluation standards to incorporate the sixth edition (instead of fifth edition) of the American Medical Association's "Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment."

Establishes a new subsection requiring awards to be specifically identified and quantified within the sixth edition AMA Guides, with limited exceptions for amputations and eye loss.

Applies to permanent partial impairment evaluations performed on or after the effective date of the Act.
