• Department of Human Services may suspend an early childhood program's license, self-declaration, or registration document at any time after a child abuse or neglect investigation begins if law enforcement is involved and continued operation jeopardizes child safety.

• Department may suspend operations upon a services-required determination indicating a child has been abused or neglected by program owners, operators, or providers if continued operation jeopardizes child safety.

• Department may prohibit accused individuals (owners, operators, staff, household members) from early childhood premises when children are present upon a report of abuse or neglect if their presence jeopardizes child safety.

• Department must notify parents when a program license is suspended and may notify parents when owners, operators, or adult staff/household members are under investigation; department must notify parents of investigation conclusions.

• Parents of children in early childhood services may receive the subject's name, summary of facts, and assessment results when investigations involve program owners, operators, staff, or household members providing care to their child.
