HB 1132 Summary

• Removes requirement for aeronautics director to report administratively to the department of transportation concerning commission activities.

• Eliminates requirement for commission to organize within thirty days of appointment and adopt administration rules.

• Redefines "warbird aircraft" as military aircraft no longer in military service, removing the previous requirement that they be built before January 1, 1948.

• Modifies aviation fuel tax revenue distribution effective after June 30, 2011, to limit fund use for matching grants only if political subdivisions or airport authorities do not qualify for or receive funds under section 2-05-06.5.

• Repeals seven sections of North Dakota Century Code relating to aeronautics commission powers and duties (sections 2-05-06.4, 2-05-08, 2-05-12, 2-05-15, 2-05-15.1, 2-05-16, and 2-05-17).
