Telephone exchange access service providers must supply current customer names, addresses, and telephone numbers to emergency services communication system coordinators or public safety answering points within two business days of service changes and at least monthly for dropped service.

Unpublished names and telephone numbers obtained by emergency services communication system coordinators or public safety answering points are confidential and may be used only for verifying caller location or identity for emergency response purposes or for public safety agencies to notify persons of emergencies.

Published names and telephone numbers maintained by emergency services communication system coordinators or public safety answering points are exempt records but must be provided upon request to county treasurers and auditors for verifying and correcting names and addresses.

Records containing personal information or identity of persons requesting emergency services are exempt from disclosure requirements and may be redacted before release; audio recordings of emergency requests are exempt records but persons may listen to or request written transcripts without copying the recording.

Requires counties to designate an emergency services communication system coordinator.
