Each school district must enact a policy prohibiting bullying on school premises, at school-sponsored events, during school transportation, and on school-provided electronic devices.

Bullying policies must include procedures for reporting incidents, investigating allegations, notifying parents, and determining when law enforcement should be contacted about criminal acts.

School districts must provide copies of their bullying policies to all employees and students in age-appropriate terms, and make policies available electronically on the district website and in printed form upon request.

Each school district must provide an opportunity for public comment before developing and implementing its bullying policy.

School districts and their employees are granted immunity from liability for bullying incidents if the district implemented a required bullying policy and substantially complied with it.
