Cities may permit permanent, on-duty or off-duty, full-time firefighters or volunteers to solicit charitable contributions from motorists by passing a city resolution.

Solicitation is limited to one qualified 501(c)(3) charitable organization annually that is registered under state law.

Solicitation activities are restricted to three days in the calendar year.

The charitable organization must provide the city proof of commercial general liability insurance covering bodily injury and property damage claims that may occur on public streets, roads, or rights of way.

The Act is declared an emergency measure.
