Sexual offenders assigned moderate or high-risk level by the attorney general are prohibited from using North Dakota state parks as a residence or residential address for registration compliance purposes.

Moderate or high-risk sexual offenders must notify a park and recreation department law enforcement officer before arriving at a state park for overnight lodging or camping.

Creates a new subsection to section 12.1-32-15 of the North Dakota Century Code relating to sexual offender registration requirements.

Declared an emergency measure effective upon passage.

Passed by the House 87-1 (6 absent) and Senate 46-1 (0 absent) with two-thirds majorities in both chambers.
