Amends North Dakota Century Code section 65-05-09.4 to modify additional benefit payments for injured employees whose disability benefits have ceased.

Increases percentage rates for additional benefit payments based on length of disability, with rates ranging from 5-10 percent for 1-3 years of disability up to 50 percent for 20 or more years of disability.

Benefits are paid every twenty-eight days and continue until the employee's death or until a period equal to the total length of time the employee received disability benefits, whichever occurs first.

Catastrophically injured employees receive 100 percent of the final disability benefit payment until their death, regardless of how long they received disability benefits.

Benefit amounts are based on the injured employee's compensation rate after any applicable social security offset.
