Direct the Legislative Management to continue studying the impact of federal health care reform legislation (Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act) on North Dakota.

The interim Industry, Business, and Labor Committee monitored the federal health care reform legislation during the 2009-10 interim and attempted to determine its fiscal impact on the state.

The full impact of federal health care reform on the state, citizens, health care providers, and health insurers cannot be determined until the legislation is fully implemented and corresponding federal rules and regulations are adopted.

Require the Legislative Management to report its findings and recommendations, together with any required implementing legislation, to the Sixty-third Legislative Assembly or, if necessary, to a reconvened or special session of the Sixty-second Legislative Assembly.
