Creates subsection 5 to section 23-06-03 of the North Dakota Century Code regarding disposition of remains for military service members.

Applies when a decedent died while serving in any branch of the United States armed forces, United States reserve forces, or the national guard as defined in 10 U.S.C. 1481 section (a)(1) through (8) effective through December 2001.

Recognizes the DD form 93 (Department of Defense Record of Emergency Data) or its successor form or equivalent branch form as the authority for designating who directs funeral and burial arrangements.

Transfers the duty to bury the decedent or provide other funeral and disposition arrangements to the person the decedent authorized on that form.
