Increases the North Dakota State Board of Medical Examiners from 12 to 13 members by adding one physician assistant position.

Board composition: nine doctors of medicine, one doctor of osteopathy, one physician assistant, and two public members.

Physician assistant board member must be a practicing PA of integrity and ability, licensed and residing in North Dakota, with at least five years of active practice experience in the state.

Public members must be state residents at least 21 years old and cannot be affiliated with any group or profession that provides or regulates health care.

The physician assistant appointed August 1, 2011, serves an initial five-year term, with subsequent terms of four years to create staggered board term arrangements.
