Exempts landmen engaged in mineral rights negotiation, mineral exploration, title review, or interest unitization from unemployment compensation coverage if substantially all remuneration is directly related to task completion rather than hours worked and services are performed under a written independent contractor agreement.

Individuals separated from employment due to domestic violence or sexual assault are eligible for unemployment benefits if the separation is verified by court orders, law enforcement records, medical records, or written affidavits from licensed counselors, social workers, clergy, domestic violence advocates, or attorneys.

Documentation supporting domestic violence or sexual assault claims must be submitted to Job Service North Dakota within fourteen calendar days of filing the unemployment benefits claim, and false statements are subject to penalties under subsection 8 and section 52-06-40.
