Attorney General's office may establish a domestic violence fatality review commission to review completed or adjudicated domestic violence deaths and recommend policies and protocols for prevention.

Commission membership appointed by Attorney General may include law enforcement, prosecutors, judges, medical examiners, mental health professionals, corrections officials, social services employees, and victim advocacy organizations.

Commission may examine confidential state and municipal records related to domestic violence incidents while preserving confidentiality of all examined records.

Commission shall submit annual findings and recommendations to the Attorney General by December 31st, with meetings closed to the public and findings inadmissible in civil or criminal proceedings.

Non-permanent members entitled to $75 per day compensation plus mileage and expense reimbursement when grant funding is available; state employees receive regular salary plus reimbursement paid by their employing agency.
