Workers' compensation review committee shall study the workforce safety and insurance preferred provider program during the 2013-14 interim under sections 65-05-28.1 and 65-05-28.2.

Study may be conducted as part of the independent performance evaluation under section 65-02-30 and should examine legislative history and intent of program creation.

Committee shall evaluate whether the program successfully furthered its intent, qualifications of preferred providers selected, and benefits to employers and employees.

Committee shall review the process for employee opt-out requests and assess employer and employee familiarity with program terms.

Committee shall report findings, recommendations, and any required legislation to legislative management.
