Amends North Dakota Century Code section 12-44.1-29 to authorize correctional facility staff members to administer medication to inmates after completing a department-approved medication assistant I training and competency evaluation program.

Removes the requirement that correctional facility staff must be a nurse aide or certified nurse aide on the department registry prior to or after completing the medication assistant I training program.

Prohibits correctional facility staff from administering medication by parenteral route, limiting administration to methods included within the medication assistant I training and competency evaluation program scope.

Requires correctional facilities to maintain records of all staff who complete the department-approved medication assistant I training program, including verification of successful completion.

Authorizes the Department of Health to periodically review correctional facility records to ensure compliance with medication assistant I training and competency evaluation requirements.
