County auditors must implement a computerized online licensing system approved by the department by March 1, 2015, with the auditor responsible for all associated equipment, supplies, and technical support costs.

Agents appointed by county auditors to distribute hunting and fishing licenses must implement a computerized online licensing system approved by the department by March 1, 2016, with the agent responsible for all equipment, supplies, and technical support costs.

County auditors receive compensation of 25 cents per resident hunting, fishing, or fur-bearer license for the first 1,000 licenses issued annually and 15 cents for each license exceeding 1,000; $1 per nonresident hunting or fur-bearer license; 25 cents per nonresident fishing license; and 10 cents per nonresident general game license.

Agents may charge purchasers a 50-cent service fee per license that they may retain, with remaining license fees returned to the county auditor or director monthly within three days of month-end.

Claims against the state bonding fund must be filed within 60 days of the reporting period expiration or the claim is waived.
