Amends the definition of "corridor" to mean the general location or area of land in which a designated route may be established for a transmission facility.

Establishes four procedures allowing utilities to adjust gas and liquid transmission line routes before or during construction, with varying requirements based on whether adjustments stay within designated corridors and affect exclusion or avoidance areas.

Permits route adjustments within designated corridors without commission action if the utility files certification that construction will not affect exclusion or avoidance areas and complies with commission orders and rules.

Allows route adjustments outside designated corridors up to one and one-half miles [2.41 kilometers] if detailed field studies are filed and property owners and governmental entities do not oppose the adjustment.

Repeals section 49-22-07.1 relating to letters of intent and exempts route adjustments from public hearing and notice requirements.
