ND HB1305

Prohibits physicians from intentionally performing or attempting to perform an abortion if the pregnant woman is seeking the abortion solely because of the sex of the unborn child or because the unborn child has been diagnosed with a genetic abnormality or potential for a genetic abnormality.

Defines "genetic abnormality" broadly to include any inherited genetic defect, disease, or disorder, specifically listing examples such as Down syndrome, dwarfism, albinism, scoliosis, and physical or mental disabilities.

Amends existing definitions in North Dakota Century Code chapter 14-02.1 relating to abortion, including definitions of "abortion," "human being," "unborn child," and "informed consent."

Establishes a class A misdemeanor penalty for any physician who violates the prohibition on sex-selective abortion or abortion based on genetic abnormality.
