• Allows members of city commissioner boards to serve as ambulance crew members employed by or contracted with the city while receiving remuneration for those services.

• Creates exception to conflict-of-interest restrictions that previously prohibited commissioners from holding positions of remuneration in city employment.

• Passed with overwhelming support: 92-0 in House, 46-0 in Senate.
