Amends section 54-03-20 of the North Dakota Century Code regarding travel reimbursement for legislative assembly members.

Members representing legislative districts larger than 1,000 square miles are entitled to travel reimbursement at 50 percent of the state employee rate for meetings or functions within their district or in counties that include part of their district.

Reimbursement is available only for meetings or functions located 20 miles or more from the member's residence, with an annual cap of $200 per year.

Members must submit a signed voucher and obtain certification from an authorized representative of the entity that invited them, attesting to their invitation and actual attendance.

Travel reimbursement eligibility is subject to the prohibition on engaging in political activity under section 39-01-05.
