The North Dakota Legislative Assembly commends Israel for its cordial and mutually beneficial relationship with the United States and North Dakota since 1948.

The resolution affirms Israel's legal, historical, moral, and God-given right of self-governance and self-defense based on a 1922 League of Nations resolution unanimously adopted and affirmed by both houses of Congress.

The resolution states that 650,000 Jews currently residing in Judea, Samaria, and eastern Jerusalem reside there legitimately under Article 80 of the United Nations charter.

The resolution characterizes Israel as the greatest friend and ally of the United States in the Middle East and asserts that peace in the region can only be afforded through a whole and united Israel.

The Secretary of State shall send copies of the resolution to the President of the United States, the Israeli Ambassador to the United States, and each member of the North Dakota Congressional Delegation.
