SB 2001 Summary

• Appropriates $26,534,446 in general fund and special fund money to the legislative branch for fiscal period July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2015, including $9.2 million for salaries and wages, $3.9 million for operating expenses, and $530,000 for capital assets

• Increases daily compensation for legislative assembly members from $157 to $162 (effective July 1, 2013) and then to $167 (effective July 1, 2014)

• Increases biennial monthly compensation for legislators from $440 to $453 (effective July 1, 2013) and then to $467 (effective July 1, 2014)

• Increases daily compensation rates for legislative management members from $157 to $162 (effective July 1, 2013) and then to $167 (effective July 1, 2014), and raises leadership stipends accordingly

• Establishes policy requiring legislative management to create guidelines for promotional expenses and authorizes limited bill analysis report pilot project during the 64th legislative assembly
